Art Retreat in Temple, Texas

I just got back from my second annual Rockin' R Retreat artists' weekend with Donna Downey at the helm down in Temple, Texas. I love going to her workshops because I love her style and following her techniques pushes me into other ways of working. It's difficult but so rewarding to push myself outside of my comfort zone. Why on earth would I do that?! I'm not sure - but I'm so glad I do! As you're probably aware, my style is usually a tight realism of sorts - so trying to do a style that's more impressionistic is akin to learning a new language. I'll be doing this workshop as long as they have it and I highly recommend it.
